Renting

Do I need an account to browse?

No. You can search, browse the map and read listings freely. You’ll verify your identity and payment method the first time you book.

How do I pick up a tool?

The booking shows the host’s address and pickup window. When you arrive, scan the host’s QR code in the app and confirm the condition record together.

What if the tool doesn’t work?

Report it from the booking within the first hour. You’ll get a full refund and Stufflet will help you find a replacement nearby.

Can the host deliver?

Some do. Listings with a delivery badge show the fee. You can also filter Browse by “Delivery available”.

Hosting

How long does it take to list a tool?

About two minutes. Take a photo, confirm what Stufflet identified, pick a price from the suggested range, and set pickup hours.

Can I block dates I need the tool?

Yes. Your calendar lets you block any day, and Stufflet prevents double bookings automatically.

Who can rent my tools?

You choose. Set a minimum rating or a minimum number of completed rentals per listing, and set the deposit you want held.

What does Stufflet take?

15% of the rental price on the Host plan, 10% on PRO. Listing is free. Deposits are never charged a fee.

Deposits & damage

Does Stufflet insure the tools?

No. Stufflet is a marketplace, not an insurer. The renter is responsible for the tool during the rental and the deposit backs that. Hosts should check that their own insurance covers lending out their equipment.

How are damage disputes handled?

Both sides have the pickup and return photos. If the host opens a claim within 48 hours of return, Stufflet reviews the record and releases or captures the deposit, up to the deposit amount, within 3 business days. Anything beyond the deposit is between the host and the renter.

What if I get hurt using a tool?

You use rented tools at your own risk. Read the instructions, wear the right protective gear, and ask the host to walk you through it at pickup. Stufflet does not provide liability coverage.

Payments

When is my card charged?

The rental and deposit are authorized at booking. The rental is captured at pickup. The deposit is released after a clean return.

When are hosts paid?

Payouts land every Tuesday for rentals returned at least 24 hours earlier.

Which payment methods work?

Major credit and debit cards. Business accounts on PRO can pay by invoice.
